Fans will not be able to attend most of The Australian Open tennis tournament because of a new lockdown by the Victoria state government.

The lockdown begins Saturday.

The decision came after an outbreak at a quarantine hotel. It will be a five-day statewide lockdown with a few exceptions.

More than 21,000 fans attended the tournament in Melbourne Thursday.
