John Oliver is back with a new episode of "Last Week Tonight." And with his first episode since Donald Trump's inauguration, he surprised approximately no one by focusing on the new president. He even acknowledged that a segment called "Trump vs. Truth" was hardly a fresh concept.
"Liberals are probably thinking: Wow, hot take there, Johnny. Next you're gonna tell me that ... Dick Cheney is evil," he said. "If you're on the right you're probably thinking: Oh great, another blizzard of snowflakes from 'Last Cuck Tonight with Johnny Trigger-Warning.'"

The episode focused not only on the false statements Trump has made, but the sources he's used to back claims — like Breitbart and Infowars.
Oliver also made a point to explain why he did this episode on Trump and truth, saying it wasn't just about the aforementioned "hot takes," but because "real people get hurt when you make policy based on false information."
