Two Jesuit provinces in the U.S. have released the names of dozens of clergy members who have been credibly accused of sexually abusing minors.

The Jesuit provinces of the Midwest and Maryland released separate lists on Monday, with abuse allegations dating back to the 1950s. The most recent documented incidents happened between 2002-2005.

Combined, there are 68 named clergy on the lists that have one or more "established" accusations against them — meaning there's reasonable certainty the allegations are true. Most of those named on the lists were either dismissed or have since died.

The Midwest Province Jesuits couldn't confirm the cases of ten clergy, though they've been named elsewhere. There are also six incidents in Maryland that couldn't be fully investigated for credibility.

In separate statements, the Jesuit provinces of Maryland and the Midwest apologized for the harm caused to the victims and their families.
