Briana KoenemanHeidi Klum and her boyfriend Martin Kirsten have called it quits.
Sources have confirmed to several media outlets the 40-year-old model and her 41-year-old bodyguard-boyfriend went their separate ways a few weeks ago. (Via TMZ)
A source close to Klum told People magazine, "Life is about timing. He was incredibly supportive and they were there for each other, but they're moving on now. They still have a great friendship."
Us Weekly adds Klum and Kirsten have also ended their professional relationship, and he is no longer working with her or her family.
Klum confirmed their relationship for the first time to Katie Couric back in September 2012, which wasn't too long after she filed for divorce from Seal, her hubby of seven years, as Hollywood Life points out.
"He's been with our family for the last four years. He's cared for our entire family, mostly for our four children, helped us tremendously. I trust him." (Via Disney-ABC Dometic Television / "Katie")
And she was right to put her trust in him. Kirsten was the one who helped her save her son and two nannies from a riptide in Hawaii during a family vacation in April 2013, as the New York Daily News points out.
Klum's divorce from Seal has yet to be finalized, and the two were spotted by TMZ sharing a friendly smooch back in October while celebrating their daughter's birthday.
But Klum says both she and Seal have moved on.
