Chelsea Manning has been released from federal prison.

Manning's lawyers told several media outlets she was released Thursday after two months in an Alexandria, Virginia, detention center.

The former Army intelligence analyst was taken into federal custody in March after she refused to testify before a grand jury investigating WikiLeaks.

That grand jury is now expired, so Manning was able to go free. But she could be back behind bars soon.

Manning's legal team told CNN she was served with a subpoena to appear before a different grand jury next week. Her lawyers said she will continue to refuse to answer questions, so she could be held in contempt once again and brought back to jail.

Manning previously served seven years of her 35-year sentence for leaking hundreds of thousands of classified government documents to WikiLeaks back in 2013.
