This week, "No Good Deed" brought some new blood to the box office, and the world rejoiced.

"Hello? Yes, there's an intruder in my house!"

The home-invasion thriller "No Good Deed" was number one at the box office this weekend bringing in an estimated $24 million.

And while critics were critical of the film, seven out of every ten joe-schmoes in the audience enjoyed it according to Rotten Tomatoes.

"No Good Deed" stars Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson, two black actors, and what's notable here is that it could have just as easily starred actors of any ethnicity.

Forbes film writer Scott Mendelson says these are the kinds of movies Hollywood is missing, "If Hollywood truly wants a new generation of black movie stars, then they have to start letting them star in films that aren’t always about being black."

We're looking at you, "The Butler," "42," "Get on Up," "Fruitvale Station," "12 Years A Slave," "Belle" ... I could go on but I won't.

On a lighter note, "Dolphin Tale 2"!

"I love that fish!"

And so does everyone else, Mr. Freeman. "Dolphin Tale 2" was number two at the box office this week pulling in an estimated $16.5 million and doing considerably better with critics than "No Good Deed"

The general takeaway: that "Dolphin Tale 2" is just as warm and fuzzy as the original.

USA Today: "It's Heartwarming."

Movieline: "It is so Heartwarming."

YouTube / Jeremy Jahns: "This movie does have it's fair share of heartfelt moments."

And managing to stay in the top three for the eighth consecutive week is Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" bringing in an estimated $8 million at the box office.

As for next week,

"We can't leave, they won't let us!"

The third "Hunger Games" movie doesn't come out for a while, so here's some "Maze Runner" to hold you over.
