It appears NFL running back Adrian Peterson's legal troubles just went from bad to worse.

ESPN: "Prosecutor filing documents to have suspended Vikings RB Adrian Peterson arrested again after he admitted to using drugs in violation of his bond condition."

Peterson reportedly told a urine tester he had "smoked a little weed" before his drug test. Not using illegal drugs is a common bond restriction, and Peterson is, for the moment, out on $15,000 bond over a charge of felony child abuse.

Deadspin obtained the motion from the Montgomery County court, which reads in part, "in light of this statement, and the fact that it was made during the urinalysis testing process ... the State argues that the defendant has smoked marijuana while on bond for the current offense."

The alleged admission comes just a day after Peterson's first court appearance. In the courtroom, Peterson never got the chance to plead not guilty because the prosecution asked for a new judge. The move could delay the trial until next year. (Video via WCCO

TMZ writes that the decision on whether or not to arrest Peterson for the weed comment likely won't come until after the judge's recusal hearing, which could come within a few days.

Peterson is charged with felony child abuse for an incident where Peterson reportedly hit his son with a "switch."

He's currently on paid leave from the Vikings. He was placed on the league's "exempt" list shortly after his arrest, which means he's still on the team's roster and is still getting paid, but he can't practice with the team, be at the team's facilities or attend their games.
